Lollywood coming to Bollywood

Cinema acts, as a cultural bonding between countries and the film Khud Ke Liye is a step towards promoting cultural exchanges between India and Pakistan.

Distributors have fixed their hopes on Pakistan after the government of Pakistan officially lifted the ban on exhibition of Indian movies in Feb 2008. Firoz Nadiadwala's 'Welcome' was the first Bollywood movie released in Pakistan Feb 8 after 'the Senate standing committee on culture recommended to the government to allow exhibition of Indian movies under a proper censorship policy’.

While Indian films are being screened across Pakistan for quite some time “Khuda Ke Liye’ will be the first Pakistani film to be released in India on March 28Th 2008 after 1968. The first-ever Pakistani film to be released in Indian theaters.

The movie has already been talked widely and has great reviews to its credit in Pakistan except the conservative and dogmatic clerics of the country, who have relentlessly criticized the movie and issued fatwas. In Karachi, 20-25 madrasas even prepared a three-page fatwa stating that whoever watched Khuda Kay Liye would be excommunicated from Islam.

The film features Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah as a Muslim scholar. The theme on which it is based is relevant to contemporary society. The film has not only brought curiosity through its music release in India but will sure broaden the horizons of creativeness. The audience will search out new relations. The creativity cannot be massacred by boundaries.

The film was exposed at the International Film Festival of India last year with a huge reception. Let’s see how Khuda ke Liye get along and attracts audience in India. Already honoured with the Award for Best Picture at the 31st Cairo International Film Festival, Best Foreign Film at the Muscat Film Festival and the Roberto Rossellini Award in Italy and appreciation at the Goa Film Festival in 2007 the film was screened for a select audience in New Delhi on Thursday. It is due for commercial release on April 4, 2008.

One of my friends who saw the movie in Delhi revealed that the film deals with the post-9/11 dilemma being faced by Muslims in general and Pakistanis in particular. The rational have to face humiliation for the wrongs done by the rather irrational. The movie again proves that talent has no boundaries. Naseeruddin Shah can be seen in a small yet powerful role. He did not charge a single Rupee for acting in this film. The post-production work of the movie was done in Mumbai’s Ad labs Studio. Khuda Ke Liye – the first Pakistani film to be officially released in India since 1968 – is a reel attempt to decode ‘Islamic’ fanaticism, to tell the world that irrational cynicism against the religion is self-defeating.

Fragrance of Islam

Catastrophe has struck the philosphy that could have equalized this society. The faith, which could have opened the doors and carried the potential of espousing peace in this really bad world, has come to be known as the "providence of the same".Strange are the ways of the evil that hijacks the good.
No doubt the conference organised at Deoband was an attempt to define terrorism in light of Islam. Similar efforts should be recurring to advance greater understanding and cooperation. It is more about rules than doctrine. However, until and unless the people who give the verdict listen frankly to the people and gain a truthful and perfect understanding of this conflict, extremists on all sides will continue to gain ground.

Priests and mullahs might think that a beliefs from the past are the only ways to salvation. But that is like living in ignorance. The greatest danger of this age is ignorance .All misery, war, terrorism, hunger and other social evils have their roots in ignorance. Religion is not an answer to the troubles of life. The never-ending lust for positions of power in politicians numbs them to compromise on issues of extreme communal intolerance.

Encoded qualms can be checked upon my educating the Muslim. All orations should translate into action. Declaring terrorism an anti-Islamic act no doubt is a great fatwa but ethnic refining should take place simultaneously. finger pointing at Muslims should be stopped. Challenges for the world will only grow as long as Muslims continue to feel politically dominated and disregarded. Respect in cultural diversity is as important as oxygen for life.

Islam is a religion of mercy for all humanity. Islam sternly condemns all kinds of oppression, violence and terrorism. It has regarded oppression, mischief, rioting and murder among severest sins and crimes.

Muslims are too rigid in our adherence to old, literal interpretations of the Koran. It's time for many verses — especially those having to do with relations between Islam and other religions — to be reinterpreted in favour of a more modern Islam. It is the uneducated youth who are the gullible lot and can get swayed along the wrong path of violence. Having well educated youth will go a long way in changing their destiny, and empower them to stand up to the injustice meted out to them.
A two way effort of all stakeholders from government, clergies, business, society is must. It is the uneducated youth who are the gullible lot and can get swayed along the wrong path of violence. Having well educated youth will go a long way in changing their destiny, and empower them to stand up to the injustice meted out to them. Religion, media, academia, priveleged and civil society are requisite of the hour to block the crisis, create bond and find solutions for the disillusioned. For the common man religious dispute is not an issue they can relate to where there main concern is to resolve their daily life issues for their daily bread. We don't need masters of religious lexicon for this.
Religion cannot be the root cause of any conflict or violence and similarly those who indulge in violence cannot be truly religious. Incidents such as the cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in European newspapers are surely wicked. constantly bombardment of images of angry Muslim youth/kids being trained in Al Qaeda camps is dubious. It is not religious belief that has driven few Muslims to believe that the Sep 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington were justified but fears that the United States was seeking to occupy the Islamic world. No doubt this is a turbulent time and a rough period but at home the seminar can bring a ray of hope.

Do we or people who should know are aware of the recent research done on 21 countries of the world dominated by Muslims say? Who knows that the vast majority of young Muslims aren't dreaming of going to war but they are dreaming of better jobs and finding work. They are looking for respect not hatred in the world! They are looking for their rights! To show respect for the society one lives in and contribute to its well being.

Promotion of rationalism and cooperation among Muslims would lead in unity among them. Muslims should become more familiar with the Islamic viewpoints and scientific interactions. The Islamic world is in need of dialogue, unity and solidarity. Holding religious meetings among Ulema would decrease differences among Islamic sects and bring hearts of Muslims throughout the world closer to one another. Cultural figures and scholars of the Muslim should play a key role in preventing cultural invasion of enemies of Islam and prevalence of their "vicious" thoughts among young Muslims especially in universities of the Islamic states by promoting cultural, literary social dialogues and programmes.

A vibrant, tolerant and a fresh body should take on the task to confront the boggy of Islamophobia. Labeling as an extremist faith is a hindrance to the world peace. It's time to accept that God loves the faithful of all religions. It's time for Muslims to question our leaders and their strict teachings, to reach our own understanding of the prophet's words and to call for a bold renewal of our faith as a faith of goodwill, of peace and of light.

The Quran presents reminders, warnings and admonitions to its readers. In the manner that our loving parents teach us to protect us, Allah describes the best way for mankind to lead their lives, what to avoid lest we may be harmed and what to adopt. The Ummah has fallen into all sorts of destructive deeds It is time to ponder in ourselves what the solution to this crisis should be. Educating the masses? Eradicating poverty? Preaching tolerance?

The eerie quietness should be broken. We look at the current position of the world, the ongoing wars, oppression, suppression, human rights' violations, economic backwardness, illiteracy, aggressiveness, poverty, crime, ignorance and wonder… what went wrong? The answer to this question is difficult for many Muslims, partly because they are so detached from the Quran and they have little knowledge of their faith to begin with. Similar to the opinion of many Non-Muslims who are unaware of Islam's Message, these people feel Islam itself is the 'cause' of the problem. it is like blaming the gun not the shooter. We need to focus our energies where they are really needed, where we know we must strive hardest - within ourselves, on the individual and on the collective level. After all, it takes great courage and a high character, individual or national, to inspire… to lead.If we just open that Book and read the translation with an open mind, that answer is written all over! The world has yet to know the fragrance of Islam.

Glorifying bad driving on streets

Biking is rising to a new level and it’s the advertisement, which is to be responsible for the bike rage in our country.

The latest bike advt lays to rest any arguments about maneuverability, control, skill and stunts.

The commercials are stunt based and talks about all that you can do with the bikes.A decade back bike market aimed larger than just a bike. Today they is a certain image and attitude been produced about the bike. It has risen way above what it looked .

Describing the ad isn’t nearly as great as watching it. They are mind boggling, they raise aspirations.

The latest advt o saw starts off with six bikers, all in black, getting onto an empty road, ready to show off their biking skills. All sorts of bike stunts are performed – one-wheel biking, swirling, and riding with both feet off the bike, and a lot more. All that you see was actually performed before the camera.

But what public statement is it giving to the youth ,their consumer?
The ad features the world’s top bike riders, including world No. 2 AC Farias and Mattie Griffin, who is among the Top 5 in the world. The bikers are from all over the world, including Ireland, Brazil, Spain and South Africa. But they perform on a track, understands the language and psyche of bikes.
The power, aggression and grace element of biking has been captured imaginatively. It shows synchronized biking, maneuverability and control that the bike offers.

But.

The professionals making the ad are overlooking social responsibility. Youth is enticed by the advt, wouldn’t know maneuvering.

Even the professional bikers were given seven days on their bike to perform the advt.

Another TV commercial shows a group of bikers driving into an empty road and performing all kind of synchronised stunts. The background score harmonises freely with the visuals. The TVC begins with a disclaimer: “Dramatised stunts performed by experts. Please do not imitate these stunts or actions”.

This runs later as a scroll also.

in this day and age ads of automobile industry are dangerous and irresponsible and of bad taste. Are automobile ads giving advertising a bad name? I'm sure the creative heads carry out some responsibility!

Are they fighting mind's eye with common sense?

They are screaming loud and violating traffic and encouraging unsafe or reckless driving. They are inducing rash driving, which could harm the driver, passengers and/or the general public.

Is anyone listening? In the dramatizations they are glorifying bad driving on streets.

Who can forget a boy weaving through traffic rashly because he has lost control but just stops before the flowing river?

Can we forget the bikers zooming between 2 trucks, pulls flowers of a moving vehicle, for the girlfriend..

Do we want to see as biker performing stunts on the edge of a cliff on one wheel in real……. Or for that matter will somebody perform this stunt?

They are doing of entertainment not informing any more. It’s dangerous!

The universal culture is becoming a lump in fact.

Everybody has intent and this is ---they fancy.

The dramatization of the performance of the product is very important.

Only speed and daredevilry excites and request the consumer of an automobile in India.

How far is too much? What should and should not be exposed in an ad to not promote irresponsibility.
Is it the people on the other side of the road be responsible for their actions on the street?

Conservation of forest

World Forest Day falls on March 21.

`It’s tree time, folks’.

`Ode To Trees’ one of the favorite poem
by Kahlil gibran

“Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky.
We fell them down and turn them into paper,
that we may record our emptiness”.

Truly, Kahlil Gibran stands among the most intriguing voices ever to scratch words onto a page. His mystically beautiful and profoundly poetic prose burns to the very root of what it means to be human. He masterfully tackles issues we are all warned not to talk about and gently illuminates the darkness that separates the sides.
Few other poems on the world forest day

think that I shall never seeA poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prestAgainst the earth's sweet flowing breast;A tree that looks at God all dayAnd lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wearA nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.Poems are made by fools like me,But only God can make a tree.
~ Joyce Kilmer, "Trees," 1914 ~

I think that I shall never seeA billboard lovely as a tree.
Perhaps, unless the billboards fall,I'll never see a tree at all.
~ Ogden Nash

God is the experience of looking at a tree and saying, "Ah!"
~ Joseph Campbell ~

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts,
as for that subtle something,
that quality of air that emanation from old trees,
that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson ~

The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider,
every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver.
~ Martin Luther ~

Who leaves the pine-tree, leaves his friend,Unnerves his strength, invites his end.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Woodnotes" ~

I willingly confess to so great a partiality for trees as tempts me to respect a man in exact proportion to his respect for them.
~ James Russell Lowell ~

He that planteth a tree is a servant of God, heprovideth a kindness for many generations, andfaces that he hath not seen shall bless him.~ Henry Van Dyke ~

To me a lush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug.
~ Helen Keller ~

He who plants a treePlants a hope.
~Lucy Larcom, from 'Plant a Tree' ~

Priceless

You got to love this guy... This is a true story about a recent wedding that took place at Clemson University. It was in the local newspaper & even Jay Leno mentioned it.

It was a huge wedding w/ about 300 guests.

After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage with a microphone to talk to the crowd.
He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding.

He especially wanted to thank the bride's & his family, & to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a lavish reception.
As a token of his deep appreciation he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him.
So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party, was an envelope.
He said this was his gift to everyone, & asked them to open their envelope.
Inside each manila envelope was an 8x10 glossy of his bride having sex with the best man.
The groom had gotten suspicious of them weeks earlier & had hired a private detective to tail them.
After just standing there, just watching the guests' reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man & said, 'F---you!'
Then he turned to his bride & said, 'F--- you!
'Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd & said, 'I'm outta here.
'He had the marriage annulled first thing in the morning. While most people would have canceled the wedding immediately after finding out about the affair, this guy goes through the charade, as if nothing were wrong.
His revenge--making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for a 300-guest wedding & reception, & best of all, trashing the bride's & best man's reputations in front of 300 friends & family members.
This guy has balls the size of church bells.
Do you think we might get a MasterCard 'priceless' commercial out of this?
Elegant wedding reception for 300 family members & friends: $32,000.Wedding photographs commemorating the occasion: $3,000Deluxe two-week honeymoon accommodations in Maui: $8,500.The look on everyone's face when they see the 8x10 glossy photo.
Priceless.
There are some things money can't buy, for everything else

there's MASTERCARD.

Extent of a women

‘Sure God created man before woman. But than u always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece’-Unknown

Women shatter the glass ceiling and take destiny into their own hands are often said but on doesn’t realize that the only glass ceiling that exists is in our mind. We have a choice to either ignore it or break it. Woman has come of age and is an important, vibrant, vital and prolific part of the economic gear. The question of competition with men in the workplace has come only in the modern context. We need is the enhanced participation of women in decision-making processes to create a more humane and compassionate world. There are high achievers who are examples to all working women and for too many there is a glass ceiling over their aspirations. It allows them to see when they might go but stop them getting there. They are not only reaching the zenith in this era but they have always been distinguished and have created miracles in the world.

Nothing like the “extent” of women can go to if she wants to! She pulls of if she wants against all odds. She does it all! Women have always crossed the extents through strength of mind and hard work. Of will she has written history. Freedom to determine one’s own path in life and not have it dictated by custom gave few independent women’s. She likes winning them all. At home or with work! Or be the damsel of the distressed, they defined identity. She can do it if she wants against all odds.

I’ve always been enchanted by few stories I have heard, read and seen who are Icons to me. They are fighters, survivors and winners. they were all strong women and at the front of their specific fields.

Who can forget Princess Diana who grew up as the privileged daughter of a Lord.A public figure from the announcement of her engagement to Prince Charles she remained the focus of near-constant media scrutiny in and around the world up to and during her marriage, and after her subsequent divorce. Lonely and embattled and hounded by the ever-present tabloid press, Diana struggled to define herself in the aftermath of the separation. In 1995, Diana gave her extraordinary BBC television interview -- describing her bulimia, admitting adultery and accusing the royal family of being uncaring. For Queen Elizabeth, it was to be the last indignity. She demanded that her son end his marriage. Her sudden death in a car accident was followed by a spontaneous and prolonged show of public mourning. Her work was on a humanitarian rather than a political level. In 1987, when so many still believed that AIDS could be contracted through casual contact, Princess Diana sat on the sickbed of a man with AIDS and held his hand. She showed the world that people with AIDS deserve no isolation, but compassion and kindness. It helped change world's opinion, and gave hope to people with AIDS. The pictures of Diana touring an Angolan minefield, in a ballistic helmet and jacket, were seen worldwide. It was during this campaign that some accused the Princess of meddling in politics and declared her a 'loose cannon. In August 1997, just days before her death, she visited Bosnia with the Landmine Survivors Network. Her interest in landmines was focused on the injuries they create, often to children, long after a conflict is over. She is believed to have influenced the signing, though only after her death, of the Ottawa Treaty, which created an international ban on the use of anti-personnel landmines

Marilyn Monroe Golden Globe award winning American actress, singer, model, beauty ideal, fashion icon, pop icon and sex symbol etc. Just about everyone has had a go at Marilyn Monroe. There have been more than 300 biographies, learned essays by Steinem and Kael, countless documentaries, drag queens, tattoos, Warhol silk screens and porcelain collector's dolls. Marilyn had gone from actress to icon to licensed brand name. How did a woman who died a suicide at 36, after starring in only a handful of movies, become such an epic commodity? Much has been made of Marilyn's desperate personal history, the litany of abusive foster homes and the predatory Hollywood scum that accompanied her wriggle to stardom. But why does Marilyn still seem to have patented the peroxide that they've passed along?

For over forty years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity's expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries, the bravest soldier of the first war of independence in our country. Even the enemy praised her indomitable spirit of fight for her country against Britishers. i cannot forget that halo around her while she visited my school while I was barely 10 years of age.She is known as Mother Teressa.

Who knew that that a lady Kalpana Chawla an Indian-American astronaut and space shuttle mission specialist will ever go in space. She was one of seven crewmembers killed in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster

Can we envisage courageous lady film stars in real life like? Pretty Zinta a criminal psychology graduate in addition to acting is a columnist, having written columns for BBC News Online South Asia, and a regular stage performer. She is known in the Indian media for publicly speaking her mind and openly expressing her opinions.one of the controversies include most notably her being the only witness not to retract in court her earlier statements against the Indian underworld during the Bharat Shah case, for which she won the Godfrey Phillips National Bravery Award..

No body knew fitness till the time Jane Fonda came with videocassettes of healthy living. Jane Fonda is two-time Academy Award-winning American actress, writer, political activist, former fashion model, and fitness guru. Fonda has served as an activist for many political causes, one of the most notable and controversial of which was her opposition to the Vietnam War. She has also protested the Iraq War and violence against women.

Can we forget queen of Indian track and field, P.T. Usha. At a time when 'athletics was very much a male sport in India, and track-suited women a rarity'. Her debut in the 1980 Moscow Olympics was lacklustre in spite of an injury which was never diagnosed. She suffered in her career due to negligence of the sports authority, but decided to start an academy in Kerala to train the girls who would not lack facilities and training she was ignored of.

I also remember reading about Martina Navartilova, the greatest singles, doubles and mixed doubles player who's ever lived and who spoke for Gay and Lesbian Rights in 1992 in washington. Tennis writer Steve Flink, in his book The Greatest Tennis Matches of the Twentieth Century, named her as the second best female player of the 20th century, directly behind Steffi Graf. In 2000, she was the recipient of National Equality Award from the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay and lesbian activist/lobbying group. She has also spoken out on a number of volatile political issues, including tort/litigation reform, but perhaps her most consistent theme — aside from gay and lesbian rights — has been her unstinting opposition to Communism, and unrepentant opposition to the former Eastern Bloc power structure that she believes compelled her to flee her native Czechoslovakia. She went on to an extent to say that athletes have a responsibility to speak out when things aren't right.

Our babe Sania Mirza the highest ranked female tennis player ever from India holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman to be seeded in a Grand Slam tennis tournament when she was seeded 26th in the 2007 U.S. Open. In 2005, she had become the first Indian woman to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament at the 2005 U.S inspite of the criticism raised in some Islamist quarters supposedly due to her attire but was unfaced by the fatwa she is doing what she wants. on January 2008 she considered quitting the sport because of undue controversy surrounding her actions. Sheretaliated by deciding not to play in India after a PIL.

Even Shahnaz Hussain never knew that one day she will be recognised as the maker of the beauty. Shahnaz Husain belongs to a royal Muslim family which migrated from Samarkhand to India and held high positions in the princely kingdoms of Bhopal and Hyderabad before India's independence. She loves poetry and English Literature. married at the age of 15 and a mother by 16 she developed an interest in beauty treatments and decided to study cosmetology in Iran. To support the expenses of the training financially, she wrote articles for the Iran Tribune on various topics under different names. In the course of her studies, she learnt of the harmful effects of chemicals on the human body and she turned her attention to Ayurveda and believed as an ideal alternative to chemical cosmetics, which not only harmed the human system but also led to the deterioration of the environment in the long run.

Very few women would know about the dynamic Lady Chanel who revolutionized haute couture fashion by replacing the traditional corseted silhouette with the comfort of simple suits and long, lean dresses. Self motivated she introduced to the world her signature cardigan jacket in 1925. The House of Chanel became an icon of elegance and from then on, the name “Chanel” became synonymous with elegance, wealth, and elitism, as well as the ultimate sign of high class. Coco Chanel, founder of the House of Chanel, began her fashion career in 1910 with major ups and down. She heralded new designs and revolutionized the fashion industry by going “back to basics,” incorporating elegance, class, and originality. Coco Chanel held the title as ‘Chief Designer’ until her death. In 1957 at her spring collection received the Fashion Oscar. The fashion world applauded her as the ‘most influential designer of the twentieth century.’On January 10, 1971, Coco Chanel died, ending an era of revolutionary fashion that would still be the classic model fashion designers today find inspiration in.However, her influence did not pass with her death. Other posthumous projects came to light a few years later. In 1974, the House of Chanel launched Cristalle eau de toilette, which was in the workings when Coco Chanel was alive. 1978 saw the launch of the first non-couture, prêt-à-porter line and worldwide distribution of accessories. In 1981, Chanel launched a new eau de toilette for men, Antaeus. Chanel, one of the most prestigious luxury brands for fashion, fragrances, beauty and PRÉCISION skincare line.

Can we ignore the voice of the millennium star Lata Mangeshakar. She has done playback singing for over 980 Bollywood movies, and has sung songs in over twenty Indian languages. Mangeshkar was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records from 1974 to 1991 for "most recordings" in the world. On June 27, 1963, Lata Mangeshkar sang the patriotic song Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon in presence of Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India. The song, composed by C. Ramchandra and written by Pradeep, brought tears to Nehru's eyes

When she married the Maharaja she entered the glittering life of the City Palace of the pink city, and had to adjust to the unfamiliar customs and to life with Jai's two other wives. The Maharaja's liberating influence, combined with Gayatri Devi's own strong character, took her well beyond the traditionally limited activities of a Maharani. She founded several progressive schools and won unprecedented success in the political arena. In recent years the Maharani has had to face tragedies as great as her former triumphs.........to be continued......

Alien Art

The Barbican's art gallery is holding what is considered a world's first - an art exhibition aimed at extraterrestrials. "It is a completely new way of conceiving contemporary art and, yes, the exhibition could look very strange," - Francesco Manacorda "Martian curator".
Two of the artworks on display at The Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art is hoped to bring about a better understanding and new interpretations of contemporary art .

Chak De Gals

There is a burst of creative energy and intellectual power.Women are just not eloquently blending their views on the environment, agriculture, sports, spirituality, women's rights into a powerful philosophy. There is no glass ceiling infact. Look at the women, girls in rural and urban India. Who would say they lag behind?

The first woman college band of MP will come into existence on Feb 14th 2008.It consist of 25 girls who form the band and play the various instruments.

Sarojini Naidu Government Girls' Postgraduate (Autonomous) College Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal one of the most prestigious women college imparting education to girls. And the first girl’s band on the lines of M.P. Police's well-known band will come into existence. The band will perform classical, Western, film and folk music with the help of various musical instruments managed by the girls. It will be launched in the college itself and the His Excellency Dr Balram Singh Jhakar will be the will launch the band formally.

It’s a big achievement for the girls who became the part of an idea given by the lady principal. Subsequent to watching the regular police band performing on most of the occasions, the idea of forming the band occurred. The Principal of the college Mrs. Maru made the visualization complete by forming the band with the verve of the adolescent and the bright and intelligent girls of the college.

Plans are being made for giving the band an aura. From dress appearance to promotion of the band is been planned

What Shah Rukh Khan and his band of girls in Chak De! India has done for Indian women and of course sports has come as a godsend. Even though a little reluctantly, people are hailing it as a film that has brought some focus on team sports like hockey in a cricket-crazed nation. Whatever the argument, the film has made a nation sit up along with women to take notice of women’s sports and other pasture at large.
And now it’s the turn of Bhopal girls. The girls are excited, as they are the only one and only girl’s band in the whole of MP. Who says sky is the limit?

Bravehearts

The victorious cricketers on their return home were greeted to cheers from ecstatic fans as they arrived in the national capital. The team received rousing welcome at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium by their crazy fans after winning an international triangular one-day series by beating Australia on their own turf.

It was India's third success at international level since September 2007 when they won the Twenty20 World Championships in South Africa. Sachin Tendulkar played match-winning knocks in both the finals. The Indian cricket team created history by winning the country's first tri-series title on Australian soil . more than 25,000 fans turned up for the an hour long function.

We also clinched the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia last Sunday.Bhopal lad Argal's performance in the world cup with a spell of 5-2-7-2 ensured victory for the team in the prestigious junior level tournament against South Africa.
Amidst the series we heard Australian sledge, worlds cricket community divided, world body of cricket is corrupt, double standards, long history of dishing out, attitude of win at any cost ,ICCC has no spotless record, White countries dominate cricket, ICCC has penalized more Asian players , very harsh judgments on Asians, no Indian umpire afterVenkat Raghavan, Rivalry between Ponting and Harbajan goes back to Sharjah, Ponting planned Harbajan in racism prism, Australians play mind games,The Umpires were bought , Success breed’s arrogance. Ponting wanted to break the 16-test victory of Steve Waugh, Success has gone into their head, Mr. Pawar buying time for a decision, BCCI is under scanner, Tendulkar Testimony ignored , senior players and junior players tetc etc this all very little as compared to Victory.
