Yes i am talking about Ambani's multi-million-dollar customized skyscraper in Altamount Road.The luxe 27-storey home of India's richest person Mukesh Ambani  is located in south Mumbai.

The building bears the name of a legendary island in the Atlantic Ocean. 

International architecture firms Hirsch Bedner Associates and Perkins Will were involved for completing the 550 feet high with 4,00,000 square feet of interior space.

Nothing inspired me to write on my blog. since long...When I heard A.R Rahman thanking .. the billions of Indians after wining the award ..set the ball rolling..

was writing on various issues shaping the society.. you and me and others..which are still on my mind but never reached an end …Had to abandon them abruptly....

Today at a time when Shah Rukh Khan presented the award another Indian was making the history on the same venue. This was none other than the music maestro AR Rahman who was presented the best music composer award for his great performance in the Slumdog Millionaire.
Couldn’t stop writing on my blog after a long long time.. The magic the maestro has created .. around us. :)

A true Musician . Maestro of all times.
It’s a historic moment for all of us.. Ever since he arrived with Roja he has revolutionised music. He is a living legend. He writes a world of music..J.Getting Golden Globe award pounding Hans Zimmer and others is just incredible. A perfect fusion of Indian and Western music.

The best news so far .. after a long long time.. .. the slum kid stole the heart of millions. Its a cult… Slumdog Millionaire" also won Golden Globes for best motion picture-drama, best director motion picture award for Danny Boyle and best screenplay motion picture for Simon Beaufoy.'Slumdog Millionaire' Earned Four Kudos at 66Th Golden Globes.

I think its not being oversensitive to speak about poverty .. coz it touched millions of people with the right chord. It is a tale of sorrow and happiness told brilliantly.Slumdog Millionaire has made history. There will be debates now.. very soon.. as Indians are argumentative.. hahaha

I think it deserves all the accolades and laurels. This film will pave the way for us internationally .

A R Rahman has created history… finally receiving the attention he deserves. In the past A.R. Rahman has worked on international collaborations but other than the fact that his soundtracks make big news, they haven't been known much amongst the Indian audience.

This is the first time ever that one is hearing a lot about this project..A score which was relatively unknown till a few months back, has certainly become big .This one is not just a versatile album but also a teasing one, as can be witnessed from the opening number 'Ringa Ringa' which is based on the the rhythm of 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai'. Set in a brothel the song hardly leaves anything to imagination. In the league of 'Choli Ke Peeche'and 'Mujhko Raana Ji Maaf Karna' 'Ringa Ringa' is as raunchy as it gets.

'Jai Ho' is the flagship number of Slumdog Millionaire a superb track from Yuvraaj handed over to Slumdog Millionaire by subhash Ghai.. sure he must be hating it now.

An amazing mix of melody and rhythm, 'Jai Ho' remains Indian at heart and is instantly catchy. No wonder, it is the lone promotional song of the film.. Gulzar sahab celebrates the spirit of love and life with 'Jai Ho' and infuses enough power in it that justifies all the nominations it is receiving today.

I have been obsessed over with his lyrics. He is a poet and prophet for a rebellious generation. His songs hug numerous religious references and he has claimed Chekhov, Walt Whitman and Jack Kerouac as influences. His memoir, "Chronicles, Volume One," received a National Book Critics Circle nomination in 2005 and is widely acknowledged as the rare celebrity book that can be treated as literature.

And now Pulitzer wall has finally been broken.

Making history as the first rock and roll artist to be honored Bob Dylan the singer, songwriter, author, musician and poet is finally recognized for his profound impact on popular music. Famous for lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power Bob Dylan was awarded an honorary Pulitzer Prize on Monday, April 7 2008.

It’s the great classic songs delivered in Dylan's ageless style which has brought rock from the streets to the lecture halls They don't make them like this anymore. If anyone deserves to go down in musical history, it is this man.

A few of today’s singer-songwriters also identify how Dylan’s art influenced their own lives and careers. Dylan has had stories behind his greatest songs and other memorable moments. Historical contexts are there to his credit and behind.

"I am in disbelief," Dylan fan and fellow Pulitzer winner for fiction, Junot Diaz said of Dylan's award. Diaz spent Lott of time on his work which also included a loads about Dylan and his poetry.

His techniques of stretching the line far beyond the measuring device, used in the song by adding line after line adds a sense of urgency, vocal virtuosity, and danger to the performance and is much loved by fans.

Frequently used are breaks, which often create new, unexpected meanings or erase existing meanings examples are- “Sugar Baby” or “Man in a Long Black Coat”.

As a writer Dylan doesn’t just create a fictional universe of his own but also offer a great deal of his creative energy into the creation of a whole universe of identities thus invoking and inviting to take part in his creation.

We have become spectators of the imaginary biographies that he unfolds throughout his career for entertainment value, but also for real metaphysical and moral purposes.

The Barbican's art gallery is holding what is considered a world's first - an art exhibition aimed at extraterrestrials. "It is a completely new way of conceiving contemporary art and, yes, the exhibition could look very strange," - Francesco Manacorda "Martian curator".

Two of the artworks on display at The Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art is hoped to bring about a better understanding and new interpretations of contemporary art .

The surviving members of Led Zeppelin took to the stage at The O2 in London, on December 10, 2007.Robert Plant ,59, Jimmy Page, 63, and John Paul Jones, 61. performed after nineteen years since they last performed but the event melted away within minutes .The event was organised as a tribute to the late Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of Atlantic Records, the label Zeppelin were signed on to decades ago for this gig.

The event also featured performances by former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman's band Rhythm Kings, Paolo Nutini, Paul Rodgers and Foreigner. Interestingly, former Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son, Jason, is now a drummer with Foreigner.

This English rock band comprised Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. They were supposedly a rock band, but managed to sound heavier, reintroduced the blues to their audience, dabbled in rockabilly and reggae, and even turned to the East in a quest for new sounds. The experimentation worked well enough to boost Led Zepp to the top of VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. They sold over 300 million albums worldwide along the way, and are still the only band to have had all albums reach the US Billboard Top 10.

The greatest reunion in rock was on Monday 10 dec 2007. They were the biggest, the best, the loudest, the most popular, the least compromising, the most influential, and the most commercially successful band in the history of recorded music.
