Ramdev fast a political conspiracy: Bukhari

By IANS,
New Delhi, June 4 (IANS) Criticising yoga guru Baba Ramdev's fast against corruption as a "political conspiracy", Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari Saturday said "communalism is a bigger issue than corruption".
"People who raise this issue of corruption are also not clean. The issue of communalism is much bigger in the country," Bukhari told IANS.
"Corruption is a problem, but the communalism is a bigger threat to the country," he added.
"It is a conspiracy involving by the parties such as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
"Congress is trying to woo Ramdev. Muslim population of this country are begging for their rights since last 63 years, but nobody cares," Bukhari
Shehla Masood---
I dont beg for my rights. I demand rights only when i can afford to perform my duties. How many times the leaders have made a call against rulers who rules for 63 years? its a shame that we dont have a single Muslim leader in the country. How long you want to fool us. How many time any leader from the community has bothered to give a call on any single issue except nonsense. I am a proud Indian and a proud Muslim.
Its time to take a leap rather than crib.We must modernise our community. Modern
education is the only alternative.Modern education, Islamic morals and
manners, liberal human values have to be inculcated in the younger
generation.  We need to shun over glorification of the past.
Romanticising of the past is a pastime in which all fundamentalists
engage themsleves. If RSS/BJP delude themselves with Ram Rajya, we
Muslims dream of Khilafath e Raashida.  Both are humbugs.  We need to
live in the present. Past is passe.

  1. By the way, I regard APJ Kalam as Most humble, self-made,Thought leader of Independent India!!!
I mentioned word Self-Made as he does not come from any political leader, and has proven himself in every field.
