Today nothing can be more exciting than the news of Pench tigress giving birth to five cubs, and an Saraswati elephant giving birth to a baby elephant calf.
Both the mothers and their young ones are safe and healthy. as per the Director Pench.
The tigress gave birth to a litter of five in a plain grassland in the Alikatta Beat near the elephant camp on Nov 3. and they were sightedby an elephant rider (Mahout) .The tigress is a lsix and half years of age. Earlier the same tigress gave birth to four cubs .
Tiger Reserve informed that the Alikatta Zone is iunder the observation to maintain the safety of the newly-born cubs and their mother.
