Ramdev fast a political conspiracy: Bukhari

By IANS,
New Delhi, June 4 (IANS) Criticising yoga guru Baba Ramdev's fast against corruption as a "political conspiracy", Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari Saturday said "communalism is a bigger issue than corruption".
"People who raise this issue of corruption are also not clean. The issue of communalism is much bigger in the country," Bukhari told IANS.
"Corruption is a problem, but the communalism is a bigger threat to the country," he added.
"It is a conspiracy involving by the parties such as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
"Congress is trying to woo Ramdev. Muslim population of this country are begging for their rights since last 63 years, but nobody cares," Bukhari
Shehla Masood---
I dont beg for my rights. I demand rights only when i can afford to perform my duties. How many times the leaders have made a call against rulers who rules for 63 years? its a shame that we dont have a single Muslim leader in the country. How long you want to fool us. How many time any leader from the community has bothered to give a call on any single issue except nonsense. I am a proud Indian and a proud Muslim.
Its time to take a leap rather than crib.We must modernise our community. Modern
education is the only alternative.Modern education, Islamic morals and
manners, liberal human values have to be inculcated in the younger
generation.  We need to shun over glorification of the past.
Romanticising of the past is a pastime in which all fundamentalists
engage themsleves. If RSS/BJP delude themselves with Ram Rajya, we
Muslims dream of Khilafath e Raashida.  Both are humbugs.  We need to
live in the present. Past is passe.

Holy month of Ramazan

Would like to share an email recieved from my friend about the significance of month of Ramazan

The month of Ramazan is the month in which the Quran was revealed, a book of guidance with proofs of guidance distinguishing right from wrong (AL-QURAN)

Holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) told about the grace and glory of the holy month of Ramazan in a long Hadith. Here is the substance of that Hadith.

“This is the month of God it is a month of blessings and forgiveness it is the favorite month of God its days are the best days its nights are the best nights and its hours are the best hours. This is the month in which your deeds are accepted and your prayers (Dua’a) are fulfilled so, request Allah with pure intention and heart for the removal of your sins and to help you for fasting and recitation of Quran. Give charity to poor, respect your elders, show kindness to children, grant to your relatives and save your tongue , eyes and ears from wrong (Haraam)”

This is the month in which all scriptures (Sohaf) were revealed: Sahifa-e-Abraham on 1st of Ramazan, Taurah On 2nd, Gospel on 12th, the Psalms on 18th while. The Holy Quran was revealed on 23rd of this month. The death anniversary of MOHSENA-E-ISLAM Hazrat Khadeeja-tul-Kubra (A.S) on 10th Ramazan is being observed by TNFJ as Youm-e-Huzn (mourning day), 15th of this holy month is birthday of Hazrat Imam Hasan (A.S), the grandson of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) about whom Hazrat Muhammad said “Hasan (A.S) and Hussain (A.S) are the masters of youngs in paradise”, this day is announced by TNFJ to be observed as YOUM-E-AMEN (Peace day) while 19th, 20th and 21st, these days as Ayyaam-e-Aza (mourning days) in connection with Martyrdom of Imam-ul-Muttaqeen Hazrat Ali Ibn-e-Abi-Talib (A.S). Laila-Tul-Qadr (the night of glory) on 23rd Ramazan which is made better than a thousand months is being observed by TNFJ as Youm-e-Dua’a (Prayer day) and Jumma-tul-Wida as Youm-ul-Quds (Alquds day) to express solidarity with oppressed.

Dua’a (prayer) to be recited after five time prayers (wajib Nmaz) in the Holy month of Ramazan:

O the Exalted, O the Immense one, O the Forgiving O the Merciful you are the great Lord, nothing can be compared with Him He observes all and hears all and this is the month you have bestowed it greatness, dignity, honour and supremacy over all Other months. You have decreed fasting for me and the month of Ramazan is the month in which you have revealed Holy Quran which is guidance for people and proofs of guidance distinguishing right from wrong. You have caused in it the night of glory (Laila –tul-Qadr) and made it better than a thousand months. O who is kind and upon Whom nobody has placed obligation, show kindness to me by liberating me from hell like those to whom you have showed kindness and place me in paradise (Jannah) with your blessing, O the most compassionate.

Special Dua’a (prayers) in the days of Ramazan Al Mubarik: Hazrat Ibne-Abbas (R.A) says that Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) has described “the daily Dua’a” with many of its virtues. Here we mention the original Dua’a.

Fragrance of Islam

Catastrophe has struck the philosphy that could have equalized this society. The faith, which could have opened the doors and carried the potential of espousing peace in this really bad world, has come to be known as the "providence of the same".Strange are the ways of the evil that hijacks the good.
No doubt the conference organised at Deoband was an attempt to define terrorism in light of Islam. Similar efforts should be recurring to advance greater understanding and cooperation. It is more about rules than doctrine. However, until and unless the people who give the verdict listen frankly to the people and gain a truthful and perfect understanding of this conflict, extremists on all sides will continue to gain ground.

Priests and mullahs might think that a beliefs from the past are the only ways to salvation. But that is like living in ignorance. The greatest danger of this age is ignorance .All misery, war, terrorism, hunger and other social evils have their roots in ignorance. Religion is not an answer to the troubles of life. The never-ending lust for positions of power in politicians numbs them to compromise on issues of extreme communal intolerance.

Encoded qualms can be checked upon my educating the Muslim. All orations should translate into action. Declaring terrorism an anti-Islamic act no doubt is a great fatwa but ethnic refining should take place simultaneously. finger pointing at Muslims should be stopped. Challenges for the world will only grow as long as Muslims continue to feel politically dominated and disregarded. Respect in cultural diversity is as important as oxygen for life.

Islam is a religion of mercy for all humanity. Islam sternly condemns all kinds of oppression, violence and terrorism. It has regarded oppression, mischief, rioting and murder among severest sins and crimes.

Muslims are too rigid in our adherence to old, literal interpretations of the Koran. It's time for many verses — especially those having to do with relations between Islam and other religions — to be reinterpreted in favour of a more modern Islam. It is the uneducated youth who are the gullible lot and can get swayed along the wrong path of violence. Having well educated youth will go a long way in changing their destiny, and empower them to stand up to the injustice meted out to them.
A two way effort of all stakeholders from government, clergies, business, society is must. It is the uneducated youth who are the gullible lot and can get swayed along the wrong path of violence. Having well educated youth will go a long way in changing their destiny, and empower them to stand up to the injustice meted out to them. Religion, media, academia, priveleged and civil society are requisite of the hour to block the crisis, create bond and find solutions for the disillusioned. For the common man religious dispute is not an issue they can relate to where there main concern is to resolve their daily life issues for their daily bread. We don't need masters of religious lexicon for this.
Religion cannot be the root cause of any conflict or violence and similarly those who indulge in violence cannot be truly religious. Incidents such as the cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in European newspapers are surely wicked. constantly bombardment of images of angry Muslim youth/kids being trained in Al Qaeda camps is dubious. It is not religious belief that has driven few Muslims to believe that the Sep 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington were justified but fears that the United States was seeking to occupy the Islamic world. No doubt this is a turbulent time and a rough period but at home the seminar can bring a ray of hope.

Do we or people who should know are aware of the recent research done on 21 countries of the world dominated by Muslims say? Who knows that the vast majority of young Muslims aren't dreaming of going to war but they are dreaming of better jobs and finding work. They are looking for respect not hatred in the world! They are looking for their rights! To show respect for the society one lives in and contribute to its well being.

Promotion of rationalism and cooperation among Muslims would lead in unity among them. Muslims should become more familiar with the Islamic viewpoints and scientific interactions. The Islamic world is in need of dialogue, unity and solidarity. Holding religious meetings among Ulema would decrease differences among Islamic sects and bring hearts of Muslims throughout the world closer to one another. Cultural figures and scholars of the Muslim should play a key role in preventing cultural invasion of enemies of Islam and prevalence of their "vicious" thoughts among young Muslims especially in universities of the Islamic states by promoting cultural, literary social dialogues and programmes.

A vibrant, tolerant and a fresh body should take on the task to confront the boggy of Islamophobia. Labeling as an extremist faith is a hindrance to the world peace. It's time to accept that God loves the faithful of all religions. It's time for Muslims to question our leaders and their strict teachings, to reach our own understanding of the prophet's words and to call for a bold renewal of our faith as a faith of goodwill, of peace and of light.

The Quran presents reminders, warnings and admonitions to its readers. In the manner that our loving parents teach us to protect us, Allah describes the best way for mankind to lead their lives, what to avoid lest we may be harmed and what to adopt. The Ummah has fallen into all sorts of destructive deeds It is time to ponder in ourselves what the solution to this crisis should be. Educating the masses? Eradicating poverty? Preaching tolerance?

The eerie quietness should be broken. We look at the current position of the world, the ongoing wars, oppression, suppression, human rights' violations, economic backwardness, illiteracy, aggressiveness, poverty, crime, ignorance and wonder… what went wrong? The answer to this question is difficult for many Muslims, partly because they are so detached from the Quran and they have little knowledge of their faith to begin with. Similar to the opinion of many Non-Muslims who are unaware of Islam's Message, these people feel Islam itself is the 'cause' of the problem. it is like blaming the gun not the shooter. We need to focus our energies where they are really needed, where we know we must strive hardest - within ourselves, on the individual and on the collective level. After all, it takes great courage and a high character, individual or national, to inspire… to lead.If we just open that Book and read the translation with an open mind, that answer is written all over! The world has yet to know the fragrance of Islam.

Ashura

Ever since the creation of life two opposing forces have been at war with each other- virtue and vice, right and wrong. These struggles were between the Right and the wrong. Consequently the Right prevailed upon the wrong and it was proved that Right is might.
Hussain is regarded as the "leader of the martyrs". He was not just the prey of a cold blooded ruler but stood for his whole nation, his community and of cource his belief in God. The greatest tragedy was that one who stood up for the noblest of causes, the defence of Islam, was striked down in so cruel a manner. It is for this reason that the sacrifice of Hussain is commemorated annually throughout the Muslim world.

Our sorrow never abates as we relive the tragedy. As Allama Iqbal says in his Baqiyat (in Urdu):

Ronay wala hoon Shaheed-e-Kerbala key gham men main,
Kya durey maqsad na dengey Saqiye Kausar mujhey.

I am one who weeps at the plight of the Martyr of KerbalaWon't the reward be given to me by the Keeper of Kauser (Imam Ali).

The commemoration of Ashura on the 10th of Muharram every year serves to remind us of the sacrifices of the family of the Prophet . It also makes us aware of the people, then and now, who tried to destroy Islam and the family of the Prophet and all that they stood for - as well as those who watched, listened and did nothing.
Ashura has been a day of fasting for Sunni Muslims since the days of the early Muslim community. It marks two historical events: the day Nuh (Noah) left the Ark, and the day that Musa (Moses) was saved from the Egyptians by Allah. Shi'a Muslims in particular use the day to commemorate the martyrdom of Hussain, a grandson of the Prophet in 680 CE. In Shi'ite communities this is a solemn day , consist primarily of public expressions of mourning and grief and the tazia day.
Some Shi'as express mourning by flagellating themselves on the back with chains, beating their head or ritually cutting themselves. This is intended to connect them with Husayn's suffering and death as an aid to salvation on the Day of Judgment, also a symbol of the struggle against injustice, tyranny, and oppression.Ashura is observed on the 10th of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic year.

"Ashura" is a day of great historical significance.
On this day:
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) accepted the repentance of Sayyidina Adam ('Alaihis-Salaam) after his exile from Paradise.
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) saved Sayyidina Nuh ('Alaihis-Salaam) and his companions in the ark.
Allah extinguished the fire in which Sayyidina Ibrahim ('Alaihis-Salaam) was thrown by Nimrod.
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) spoke directly to Sayyidina Musa ('Alaihis-Salaam) and gave him the Commandments.

On this same 10th of Muharram-
Sayyidina Ayyub ('Alaihis-Salaam) was restored to health (from leprosy)
Sayyidina Yusuf ('Alaihis-Salaam) was reunited with his father Ya’qub ('Alaihis-Salaam)
Sayyidina Yunus ('Alaihis-Salaam) was taken out from the belly of the fish and the sea was divided as the nation of israel was delivered from captivity and Pharoah’s army was destroyed.
Sayyidina Dawud ('Alaihis-Salaam) was forgiven
the kingdom of Sulaiman ('Alaihis-Salaam) was restored
Sayyidina Isa ('Alaihis-Salaam) was raised to Jannah
Sayyidina al-Husayn (Radiyallahu 'anh) (the Holy Prophet’s, Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam, grandson) achieved the honor of Martyrdom.
Things one must do -
Worship Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) as much as you can on ‘Ashura.
Whoever fasts on this day is like one who fasts all his life.
Whoever clothes a naked person Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) will release him from a painful punishment.
He who visits a sick person, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) will grant him a reward that will not be decreased.
Whoever places his hand on an orphan’s head, or feeds a hungry person or gives water to a thirsty man, Allah will feed him a feast from Paradise and will quench his thirst with Salsabil (a wine that does not intoxicate).
Who ever takes a Ghusl/bath on this day will enjoy excellent health and freedom from sickness and indolence.
Whoever provides generously for his family on this day, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) will be generous to him throughout this year.
Whoever applies Kuhl /kajal to his eyes will never suffer from eye-sore again.

Also we must not forget the self-sacrificing ladies who during the course of this everlasting and important event, which took, place in 61 A.H. Some great and magnanimous women also participated and made sacrifices. So much so that some of them were even martyred in this path and their honorable names have been mentioned in the glorious history of the rising of Imam Husayn with honor and respect.
1- Lady Dulham
2-Lady Umme Wahab
3- Lady Rubāb
4- lady of Bakr bin Wa'il.

O’ Allah! Bless us to perform good deeds and gain their reward on Ashura. Make the New Year one of unity, cooperation and success for Muslims in this city and around the world.
Ameen.
